I had nothing to do this monsoon-evening, so decided to draw in the bargain.
It took me a total of 2 hours to think, sketch, decide on the colours and then click a photograph of the same. And only 2 minutes to post this crayon-drawing.....! :)
A woman’s face is a canvas upon which, she daily paints a portrait of her-self in wondrous colours bracing fascination and charisma. She, very beautifully emotes strong hidden inner desires which is now apparent even to the naked eyes.
So, today as I step-up to feel as a WOMAN again at this time of the year, celebrating a year gone-by, I feel a gush of “X” chromosomes flowing through me; it’s like a soothing soul ready for fun and excitement for the coming year. ;)
I see my-self sitting there; smiling, feeling wonderful & pampered and delighting my senses with music and some worthy writings....it’s an absolute “Feminine-Fun”! ;)
I intend to cling to this “Achala” for more years to come....!
Happy Birthday sweety, for this year and more fantastic ones ahead.... ~~:)
Growing up is easy.....too easy, you just have to wait; wait patiently for years to move on.....! :)
It’s an endearing journey; giving out aromas similar to the brown baked cookies – fresh out of the oven. The journey; always adorning itself with humour and a little sadness, is fulfilling with scrumptious conversations and tales of life n longing. ~ :)
I am on-to one such awesome journey and today decided to open-up layers of yester-years.
Thus, sharing with you all, a collage created out of a ludic action, resembling a cheerful child. I love myself, mOre; when I see moments of joy, laughter and innocence, perfectly captured through these lovely snaps.
It’s a fondness that grows by each passing day of the year.....! :)
Yesterday, I battled with time for an unusual gift :)
It all started when I picked up a gorgeous white shining thread, inviting me with all innocence and love which I failed to resist, completely. Thus, loaded myself with excitement & charm and geared myself to turn the design born in my conscience into a cheerful child-like-form.
I started with wings of desire; tying them with a knot to the end of the thread. It appeared a beautiful playful rink; full of circular motifs, twisted & turned & bend to perfection. As and when, I pulled the thread to complete the blooming-flower motif; I smiled with joy & admiration, for myself......of course ;)
All my energy coagulated to creating the fantastic piece of white-wonder and I completed the entire tatting lace today, which is now posted in-here for public viewing :)
I spent blissful moments, creating this lace and thus rewarded myself with incomparable and delight-full present.
~~ :)
I could’nt decide which one of the two pictures, best reflects my creativity. It appeared to me that the lace looked awesome, falling from the left as well as the right side.... ;)
If you can decide; let me know.....! I am thus leaving you all with a twin-treat, today. Enjoy ! :)
बारिश मुझे पसंद नही........
“All is nothing, therefore nothing must end” said Christy Brown in the epic tale of his own life “My Left Foot” – a true Story about life, laughter, and the occasional miracle, which is also adapted as a screenplay going by the same title and catering to a larger audience.
I got an opportunity today to add on my name to the list of aficionados who has previously admired and still continues to do so after watching the well directed movie. The story is an autobiographical narration by Christy Brown of his childhood days, then growing up to an adult and the struggles that clung to him till the time he becomes a celebrated painter, a poet and a writer.
Christy Brown is a strong child that survived 13 among 22 other children born on the same day only to be afflicted with cerebral palsy, a condition in which he is able to control the movement of his left foot only. He is placed under the wings of a “strong-willed” mother who had unmoved faith in her child who is otherwise considered to be retarded by all others.
It’s a marvel and now a belief that when one is incapacitated, he is in return rewarded with one thing that is capable of much more. Christy was thus rewarded with the “Left Foot”, the only part of his body that was capable of movements and enough for him to make paintings that left the audiences speechless.
Christy is a beautiful soul, carrying within himself a mind, brilliant in intelligence and powerful in beliefs that helped create wonderful piece of writings and paintings. The rainbow emerges only when there are rain-drops coupled with the sun-rays beaming through them and Christy in no circumstances allowed his crippled-state to deter him from delivering excellence; but fantastically shredded all thoughts that surfaced over his beliefs.....!
The movie is a classic with brilliant performances and is truly a visual treat that stays on with you till the end when Christy proposes to Mary in a signature style with “his Left Foot” and they both happily decide to share their life together....
There are many more scenes that is well-directed and superbly performed.....I would love to narrate them all but then you would miss your share of surprises and admirations that will follow....! :)
Sunday gives me an opportunity to gaze at things, endlessly and thus derive blissful pleasures out of it, as there is no hurry to catch a train or reach to places on time set forth for the prior appointments. On this day I am as lazy as could be and I thoroughly enjoy being in this state.... :)
So, gazing through this Sunday, I stumbled on the “dashes-of-REdS” thrown all over, by the blooming gul-mohars. I was amazed and delighted by the scenic beauty and in no second found myself capturing the panoramic view through the lens of my camera....!

The city seemed peacefully enjoying the “SuNdaY-aFterNoon” as well and so I quietly decided to bring it too into my frames. I managed a few lovely pieces of the marvellous looking giant city standing tall and spectacular; with greenery and colourful flowers to match the decor.
Enjoy, but take good care too....!!
Sunday arrives with sleepy, dreamy eyes, so intoxicating that you cannot refrain from succumbing to its wishful desires. Yes, when I say this I am narrating my plight; b’coz I am easy, much disciplined & most desirable victim available in handy (I say this as an appreciation as you won’t find a sleep aficionado as strong as myself on this earth).......so sleep enters in me; without prior appointment or on the spur permission...............with loads of DrEAmSs n MOrRe DrEAmSs!! :)
I lay there calm & quiet, fully pacified with the SuNDay-dOsE of sleep injection; the transfusion button showing: SwiTcHed On! :)
But, the twist or as I prefer calling it, a fascinating angle to the story begins here. This time, when I was SuNDay-DrEaMiNg, I did not shop for the colourful n classy clothes or the beautiful piece of jewellery and scarf that idyllically matched or that perfect pair of slipper and bag to flaunt, that I was looking out for ages....! :)
Sadly disgraced by my shopping-urges, that was showing signs of debilitating vitality; I was worried!
Caveat: SuNDay starts with extending the sleep & dreaming MoRe but ends in “DrEAmSs” emerging into a real self!
Yes, you all heard it right; my new post is a “Cloudy-Affair”; bringing with it all innate characteristics of a cloud. I will explain it in details.
When I started off with this painting, I was in a state of preparing and planning for my visit to my home after a few days. So, with travelling on my mind and busy collecting the required paraphernalia for carrying them to family, I found myself turned into a “CLOUD”; carefree n ready to get set and go for the journey ahead, the journey that will bring in memories to saviour for the rest of my passing days. Thus a “CLOUDY-AFFAIR” began and I ended up spreading white, feathery-like enormous “CLOUDS” all over the blues...... :)
I loved it, as I drew one of the most spectacular creations of nature, smooth n easy, holding loads of fun as it can appear in any shape or size, I needn’t bother much!! The bigger ones reflect more vivacity and cheerfulness than the smaller ones and therefore i chose them more in my art piece. :)
The “white” on the “blue” makes it a visual treat as well as a serene gift for the heart. A perfect blend of two “lighter-shades” makes it so beautifully “heavy" on paintings that it needs no help of other “darker-shades” to create an impact.
I am also elated by the hidden gyaan that follows this exercise and thus expose us to a brooding-session. Let me serve it like this: the “lighter-whiter and flying higher n higher” clouds, seen floating on the sky above is ALL but YOU & ME; bracing momentum to rise to heights where tranquillity and laughter prevails. We all appear collected and collaged; in a state where in we all walk in unison, heading towards a novel abode.
“White-feathery Clouds” promises bright-sunny days ahead and what better way to end this blog post by saying that “May EACH CLOUD in US be filled with unlimited zest and zeal!
Amen !! ~~~
